About Our Online Classes
I am pleased to inform the eduFire site visitors, that I am launching a series of classes, commencing from 04th of January 2010, which when combined, will complete Level 1 of 3 Level training related to How to Become a Professional Airlines Reservations and eTicketing Agent.
It is very important for the aspiring candidates to know that they must begin from Level I – Class 1 and gradually progress to Level 3 training, as cited above.
In case if a student has missed the bus and is unable to join from Level I – Class 1, they can always contact us via email – (amar dot kewlani @ gmail dot com) or via Skype ID (amar.Kewlani) and find out next date/s, however we plan to host Level I – Class 1 from every 1st Monday of a Month like 04th JAN or 1st FEB and so on.
A complete Training Time-Table is being worked out, and will be posted in our blogs in due course (multiwings.weebly.com or multiwings.blogspot.com or multiwings.worpress.com or on multiwings.typepad.com) and linked in our class page/s, so that students can join in any class at their own pace and availability of class fees, provided they meet the enrollment criteria as posted in each class and as above.
In each Level, there will be a series of Classes listed, which are further divided into Sections.
After each Class, the students are required to anwer a series of Qs based on the material covered in a completed Class, which will be forwarded to them by email in PDF file format.
The students are required to take print-outs and answer th Qs in them and send the answers to us for validation by email.
The students will be asked to maintain such PDF file print-outs at their end and after completing all the series of Classes, these PDF files, when filed properly in chronological order, grows into a substantial reference material which they may then at their end spiral bind them and keep it as a reference Manual or Guide for their future use at any stage of their career.
After completion of these series of classes, the participants level of knowledge will be as good as an experienced agent’s knowledge who are working in various travel agencies or airlines or any other travel related or outsourced back offices in any part of the world, but they must select the system according to its wide usage in their respective countries/regions or in a system as advised to them by their prospective employer/s.
To do this, an aspiring candidate has to ask any travel agent in the vicinity of their residence about which system is widely used by travel agents…or simply visit or call an airliner office and speak to the reservation staff and ask very politely about the systems used by various travel agents in and around your prefered work area. Though I can provide the usage of a system in a particular country, but it is always best that you get the raw information from within your region.
Our experience shows the following trends, but this may or may not be applicable to you, hence you must do a little research, sicne you now know that there are six GDS systems in the world, widely patronised by the travel industry.
Candidates from Gulf Region Countries and African Region Countries (or persons going to Gulf Region) normally prefer their training in Galileo system, except in Qatar, where the widely used system is Amadeus, but it does’nt mean that other systems are not used overthere, thats why I insist that a candidate must make a thourough research about the system in which they feel they can get suitably employed.
Candidates from Mauritius & Australia prefer Amadeus system, once again same principle applies of research, as cited above.
Candidates from India prefer Amadeus, Galileo, Abacus, Sabre and in some North Indian States they may go for the newly introduced Worldspan system.
Candidates from EU countires, including UK prefer mostly Amadeus or Galileo systems and in some areas or cases they would opt for Sabre system
Candidates from North American Countries normally prefer (just randomly sequenced) Galileo, Sabre, Worldspan, Apollo & Amadeus systems
Though a candidate has to select his/her choice of system to learn from us…this series of classes of Level 1 is being hosted in simulated envrionment which will emulate Amadeus Global Distribution System.
In Level I series, a coordinated series of classes will be hosted and announced after completion of each class.
These classes will be hosted for a 90(+ or -) minutes duration to cover all the aspects of Airlines Reservations and Complete PNR Management (Without Automated Fares, which will be hosted in Level II series of classes and will be announced immediately after the completion of Level I series of classes) from Amadeus system (Vista Command Page) point of perspective.
Collectively, after completing all the classes in each series, the amount of Time & Money a student saves are as follows:-
1. Cost of Commuting to & from the institute where such classes are held is reduced to ZERO. Thus precious Time & Money is saved and has the comforts of learning from home or from a nearest cyber cafe in your area.
2. Apart from the GDS companies hosting such instructor led training, which is only available to authorised travel agents staff and IATA UFTAA Training Centers, as far as what I know, NO institute in the whole world has an instructor led training for these subjects.
3. Even in IATA UFTAA Training Centers, there could only be a few centers in the whole world wherein a instructor is training in these subjects, but once again I am not that sure, as in their training kits IATA is providing a interactive CD-ROM only in one of its courses, and most of the time the students are left on their own to learn the contents (I hope many would agree with me from across the globe) and in many cases I have found that students do struggle in understanding its content and in many cases I have found that they lose considerable in scoring their 30 marks alloted to GDS section of Question Paper 1.
If any IATA UFTAA Student from any part of the world wants to learn the EBT content of the CD-ROM provided to them in their Foundation Course Kit, they can email me at amar(dot)kewlani(@)gmail(dot)com for further details about the same.
4. In any case the total cost of entire classes hosted in Level I series will NOT CROSS USD 250 AS IT WILL BE FREEZED, i.e. when a student has reached paying us USD250/- they will not be charged any further, should any extra classes needs to be hosted to cover all the aspects of Level 1 series of classes, they will be hosted without charging the students.
However, this is not applicable to absentee students, as the extra classes hosted has to be treated as a class for all and not for any individual or absentee/s.
5. A gauranteed fees, which will be freezed at USD 250/- per Level, that too with a LIVE instructor, is Very Very LOW in the whole world, as I know similar classes without an LIVE Instructor costs somewhere, between 200 to 500 Great Britain Pounds in England, and its somewhere around 600+ Euros in EU Countries. You have the details now, compare and see for yourself the huge difference.
For any further clarifications, please email me at amar(dot)kewlani(@)gmail(dot)com or send me a note through eduFire platform.
Syllabus
In this Level I series, an aspiring candidate after completion of this Class 1 will be able or very comfortable able to perform the following functions:-
1. Sign-in & Sign-Out of the system
2. Will know more and in detail about Agent Work Areas or Computer Terminal Buffer Zones and its advantages
3. Will be able to interpret the structure of various forms PNRs in the system
4. Will be able to Retreive PNRs stored in the system and will be able to circumvent the situations of Similar Named PNRs.
5. Will be able to display various sections of a PNR for either individual display purposes or for editing any element of a PNR
6. Will be able to display History Section of PNR and Record Locators (Airline PNRs) sent by Airlines confirming a booking originated from a travel agents office.
At various stages, they will be asked to answer Qs for material covered in class 1 to reinforce the training being undertaken.
For any further clarifications, please email me at amar(dot)kewlani(@)gmail(dot)com or send me a note through eduFire platform.
Prerequisites
It is highly recommended for our students who have enrolled to attend Level I series of classes to be ready with following materials:-
1. A long or spiral note book to take notes during the classes, as we are against the idea of distributing printed handouts since we feel that the more you scribble and write down the notes the more you will be able to recall the contents and system entries imparted during our Level I series of classes.
2. Three (3) coloured pens of RED, GREEN & BLUE OR BLACK colours to take notes, as explained in our Orientation classes.
3. A pocket calculator (though its usage is more in Level II series of classes, wherein we will be only dealing with Pricing of PNRs with Lowest Possible Fare Applicable) but at some stage you will need them in Level I series of classes.
4. Pencils, sharpners and erasers – for any last moment corrections or overwritings.
5. A good internet connected PC, as classes are normally NOT encouraged to be repeated.
6. 100% attendence as reason cited above in point 5, otherwise the student has to pay all over again to attend a missed class in next cycle of such classes, which will be in a very systematically order introduced each and every time an on going series of classes comes to an end
TRAINING MATRIX or METHODOLOGY
1. Notes (to be written manually during web-class), Pictures of Aircraft (both interiors and exteriors), screen shots airlines reservations system, thoroughly researched and presented via power point presentation/s
2. Selected Videos – related to my subject, from a bunch self created videos/movies, You Tube and other sources.
3. After each lesson, the participants are asked to Log-on to their simulated courseware browser (outside Adobe ProConnect), which emulates a airlines reservations sytem and answer the Qs related to material covered in ongoing web-class lesson, to reinforce our training.
4. After completion of a set of Lessons, a mini sort of examination is administered on same courseware browser, as cited above.
5. A sort of role-play excercises are incorporated in the courseware browser so that the students can emulate day-to-day work environment of a reservations and booking office with their friends and/or relatives.
6. A total sum of 10 hours of internet training time is loaded in each individual students courseware browser account and released in parts of 1 or 2 hours as and when the course progresses, however the students have options of buying extra internet training hours in their courseware browser as per their budget.
7. At the end of a Level series of classes, the students are required to give an Online Examination, where the results are instant.

As a small gesture of visiting my profile, I am pleased to share with all of my visitors, the following video posted on youtube, which I found very funny, but at the same time, with low cost airlines charging for catering services, who knows that when these things (not necessary these things as in this video) or anything which fancy them might or could be implemented…. anyway lets enjoy the video…. I congratulate the team whoever it has created or come up with such funny ideas…
