About Me

My name is Laurel Nicolosi and I live in Cary (Raleigh), NC, USA. I am a former classroom teacher and I love tutoring now because I love connections with people that want to learn and are hungry for it! I have a Masters Degree in Education, and my undergraduate degree is in English Literature and my minor is in French.

I tutor locally in different subjects, and help people proofread and write papers and books, but enjoy teaching English and French the most now, and can work with any level. I think that English teachers are needed because of the large demand for English all over the world. I would like to help those of you that have this need. I like to start at the beginner level because I am patient and encouraging and will teach one-on-one (please contact me here) or groups. I will start with classes this month and then go from there as I have interest.

I have also taught French to young children and high school students. I see that French teachers are needed here, and I am happy to fill that need as well, so I will start with a beginning French class, and teach you conversational phrases and greetings, along with some vocabulary and simple verbs. If you have any specific requests, please ask!

I have had one free class for both English and French every two weeks this summer, so you can see what my teaching style is, and if you like working with me. They are 1/2 hour, and then you can see if you want to join a paid class to learn even more!

But PLEASE don’t register unless you intend to come to the class – I have many “no-shows” and it is not fair to those who want to come when there is no room left in the class.

I have just started a contest where if you register for a free class, and then email me before the class starts with the one thing you REALLY want to learn, and then show up on time – you may win a free private session with me! Carlos just won a session tonight, and in two weeks I will have another contest – who will win that one?
