I specialize in conversation, and from the very first lesson, you’ll be speaking the language no matter what level you’re currently at. You’ll learn the four basic skills of the language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

My courses include clear explanations, skill-building exercises for class, and homework, if you have any extra time. Students are also encouraged to use online resources, such as videos, news, grammar exercises, and other free resources that reinforce learning and comprehension.

In addition to the syllabus from Conversational Spanish 1&2 (see below), you will learn new, longer interactions in Spanish, for example making reservations in a hotel, interactions in an airport, visiting places.

We will cover the following structures: irregular past tense and perfect past tense; courtesy expressions, and others.

Syllabus for Conversational Spanish 1:
You will learn how to introduce yourself, talk about yourself and others and how to communicate in basic interactions.

We’ll cover verbs like “ser” and “estar” , “tener”, etc, and simple present conjugations.

Conversational Spanish 2 :
You will learn how to have longer interactions with others in Spanish, such as shopping and other business interactions (ordering in a restaurant), making reservations, expressing likes and dislikes.

We will cover the following structures: regular past tense, verbs like “gustar”, as well as advanced numbers.

I will assess your levels to make sure that the students in the class are on the same or similar levels.
