Join Koichi and Lily in this class all about Google Wave. More likely than not, when you hear about Google Wave, you think one of two things:
a) What is Google Wave?
or
b) How can I get my invite?
Whether you are A or B, we have your bases covered, because in this class we’ll be going through Google Wave and it’s potential uses, and then give out one invite to one lucky person at the end of it.
To answer some of the main questions you might have about Wave, here are some answers given out by Google itself:
What is a wave?
A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.
A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.
If you’re not convinced about Google’s new communication platform (that I believe will eventually replace e-mail), then definitely come to this class and see it for yourself. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
We’ll be screen sharing different use-cases of Google Wave, and answering any questions you might have about it. In general, we will be going over:
1. What is Google Wave?
2. How is Google Wave used?
3. Communicating
4. Collaborating
5. Sharing
6. Extensions
7. Announce the winner of the Wave Invite
Please feel free to come with any questions.

Though it would be sandwiched between my college classes. Let me know if you're going to do another class about this, or even if you have any extra invites. :D posted 24 days ago
