What is an idiom?
An Idiom is a group of words that has a meaning different from the meaning of it’s individual parts.
In the example below you will probably know all the individual words, but you still may not understand the meaning of the expression. This is because the expressions are idiomatic.
Thomas IS INTO computer games, but I CAN’T STAND them.
BE INTO means LIKE VERY MUCH and CAN’T STAND means DISLIKE VERY MUCH.
