…yes, I know the difference between Gorillas and guerrillas – but it got you to click on this class, right? Anyways…
I love my job. It’s a dream come true. I get to do all of the things I love doing: Marketing, Blogging, Networking, and even use my Japanese major a bit. Most people graduate from school, be it high school or college and get stuck somewhere they don’t want to be. Most people settle for something outside of their major, or even worse, something they hate doing (even if it’s within their major). I want to help you achieve your dreams right now, and I’ll show you some ways you can do it. It won’t be easy, and it won’t be instantaneous, but all of you can do it. If you’re a student, you can get started right now. If you’ve been working somewhere you hate for 30 years, you can also get started right now. Here’s what we’ll be talking about:
-Why the resumé is dead, and what is going to replace it.
-Why you should start a blog
-Using Twitter to find a job
-Becoming an expert, even if you don’t feel like one
-How to be remarkable
I’ll also stick around after class and try to answer all your (hopefully not) hard-hitting questions :)
If you have an unhappy friend, too, don’t forget to share the love with them! If you don’t have any unhappy friends, share this on Facebook or Twitter using the links below!

Shiira said: Wa-hoo @Jumada and @Aaron... International Business in the house!!! I have another year before graduation and it's getting harder each semester : ) I'm not quite sure what exact job I want but it has to be international in scope and preferrably at least a bit "analytical" (perhaps forecasting business trends and what-not). posted 7 months ago
Amber said: My dream job, hu? Right off the top of my head, I'd say writer. After that, translator for the media (movies, books, manga ^^). After that horse trainer, dog trainer, interior designer, and lastly, teacher. If I work at it, I'll probably accomplish all that in the reverse order ^^ posted 7 months ago

'Jamila' said: Here's the description of my dream job. Dream Job(s): inspire positive intercultural relationships through... 1. International travel 2. Partaking in international cuisine while meeting local people...similar to what Anthony Bourdain does on his show 'No Reservations' (link below)...doing so alone 1st, then w/ groups, with the added bonus of doing outdoor activities together and on solo excursions...because I would have taught everyone the local language & culture. And last but definitely, of equal importance... 3. Learning & performing local dances. posted 7 months ago

@Shiira That's so sweet. I'd love to work for the WTO if given the opportunity. But I think I might need my Masters to do so. More school....aaahhhh!!! posted 7 months ago
Shiira said: What I like to do: read, watch j-drama, (pretend I know)/learn Japanese, dance salsa (wepa!!!) listen to music and did I say, read? How these activities might line up with my dream job, I don't know. Hopefully some type of correlation will come out during this class. Looking forward to it. posted 7 months ago
Michelle said: I want to design more.
I'd like to work in advertising for social/environmental change. A few years ago I wrote my thesis in "sustainable advertising" but have (professionally) sidestepped that goal.
The dream? Small company, creative freedom, awesome clients, working for a good cause. posted 7 months ago
Michelle said: favorite thing to do: read, design (web? print? the third thing?), and cook. The first two are career oriented. Cooking will always just be an after-hours creative outlet. I think it's all related and moving (slowly) towards the greater goal. posted 7 months ago
Jumada said: "What is your favorite thing to do?"
One of my favorite things to do is shop for books and read them. But I love going shopping for books and book stores. Languages. When I hear people speaking a language and I do not know what it is I just have to ask. I must know!. :D. I love nature and animals. Tennis and the internet. Religion, dancing, Pizza, Trying new foods.
Does the answer to this question differ from your "dream job" answer? Why do you think it differs?
I did not pick a dream job. But InterBusiness I think it does. But I have not started so I do not know what it will include. And I wonder about that. :)
