About Koichi C

Don’t message me through my eduFire account. I do not check this. E-mail me instead at koichi@edufire.com

I am not currently accepting any new Japanese students at the moment (though I am open to marketing consultations). If you’d like to talk so I can help you find a good Japanese tutor here on eduFire, we can do that as well!

Hi! My name is Koichi, and I work here at eduFire.com as the social marketing manager (which means I do a lot of Facebook, Twitter, and other social marketing). I studied Japanese in college, but I’ve always had a big interest in marketing, so a lot of my work has been a combination of both (Japanese marketing!?). I like making videos, working hard, and practicing kendo.

Although I’m not doing one-on-one sessions anymore (besides certain consulting gigs), I do teach occasional classes here on eduFire. If I’m teaching any, they’ll appear in my profile up above.

Also, if you have any edufire customer service related issues, please don’t message me here (I don’t check my eduFire message box as often as my e-mail). If you need help, please send an e-mail to hello@edufire.com. You will get a much faster response since more than one person checks it!

Anyways, in regarding to the future. I hope to someday own and operate a successful arcade. Until then, I would love to work for a car manufacturer in either sales and/or marketing.   posted 11 months ago

I have another year before graduation and it's getting harder each semester : ) I'm not quite sure what exact job I want but it has to be international in scope and preferrably at least a bit "analytical" (perhaps forecasting business trends and what-not).  posted 11 months ago

After that horse trainer, dog trainer, interior designer, and lastly, teacher. If I work at it, I'll probably accomplish all that in the reverse order ^^  posted 11 months ago

Partaking in international cuisine while meeting local people...similar to what Anthony Bourdain does on his show 'No Reservations' (link below)...doing so alone 1st, then w/ groups, with the added bonus of doing outdoor activities together and on solo excursions...because I would have taught everyone the local language & culture. And last but definitely, of equal importance... 3. Learning & performing local dances.  posted 10 months ago

I'd like to work in advertising for social/environmental change. A few years ago I wrote my thesis in "sustainable advertising" but have (professionally) sidestepped that goal.

The dream? Small company, creative freedom, awesome clients, working for a good cause.   posted 10 months ago

Jumada said: "What is your favorite thing to do?"

One of my favorite things to do is shop for books and read them. But I love going shopping for books and book stores. Languages. When I hear people speaking a language and I do not know what it is I just have to ask. I must know!. :D. I love nature and animals. Tennis and the internet. Religion, dancing, Pizza, Trying new foods.

Does the answer to this question differ from your "dream job" answer? Why do you think it differs?

I did not pick a dream job. But InterBusiness I think it does. But I have not started so I do not know what it will include. And I wonder about that. :)
