Music has always been a big part of Greek culture. As it covers many genres ,Byzantine music, folk music, popular music, rebetiko,even operetta, it would take many sessions in order to present a small sample of each genre.
In this session, we will listen to some of the most well known songs from the 60’s and the 70’s, composed by Manos Hatzidakis and Mikis Theodorakis. This genre is called “entechno” (art music), it is orchestral music, and the lyrics are based on poems.
The only prerequisite is to have open ears and open mind.
