Teacher: Jon
I started my first company a little over a decade ago and have learned many lessons along the way. In this one-hour session I’ll share with you some of my successes and failures. It should be informative and inspirational to you if you are running a business or considering starting one.
Please post any specific areas that you would like me to talk about on this page and I’ll try to address them!

Anshu said: Jon, thx. for doing this. Here's another question
I am creating powerpoint CD's with audio and excellent content to teach students step by step how to learn to converse in Hindi language. My question is, should I go ahead and start selling these off of my website or should I go all high-end and take help from pros to glamorize my CD with lots of graphic and background music before attempting to put something up for sale?
Also, how do you price such a product.
thx

Jon said: Great questions Anshu. I'd start by selling them on your site first and see what the response is. If you get people buying but complaining about the quality then spiffy them up. However, I think most people put too much polish on products before trying to sell them. posted 10 months ago
DJ said: Jon, in the past you've touched on the topic of managing time and "getting things done" (GTD). No doubt you'll talk about workflow mastery again. I hope so!
I always appreciate your tips and insights. posted 10 months ago
Jo said: Hey Jon - looking forward to the class. I'll be taking lots of notes :-)

Tina said: Jon, I would like to touch on building a close knit online community. I run an online forum for parents and would love to see it grow and flourish. It seems eduFire has grown by leaps and bounds, and is still a very warm and close knit community. Also, building a business on a very small budget. Any insight would be great! posted 10 months ago

susan said: Hi Jon, Is it better to sell advertising on a website or to charge the consumer directly? I am in the process of putting a site online which will offer downloadable, personalized books, for students at risk for failure to read.
I look forward to your class! posted 10 months ago
