About Class

Some important points…

Japanese Together
It means that everybody has got to do something. I work hard to find materials, to prepare them, to give them a form. Even you must work hard. So, what you have to do is:
1. be there in time
2. make a bit of homework
3. study the lesson before, and ask for questions about it in the following lesson. It’s better to understand things in the right way as soon as you learn them
4. write me your ideas, after the lesson. I won’t probably be able to implement them as soon as you suggest them, but I will consider them and one day or another I will understand how I can use them

from Scratch! 2 – the schedule, more or less
We will make some simple conjugation for verbs, we will start to see how adjective works.
Some lessons could be:
1. It’s not a rabbit.
Negative form for the Copula.
2. My computer is old.
I adjectives.
3. I don’t eat meat
Negative form for verbs.
4. I live in a quiet apartment.
NA adjectives.
5. Let’s go to the party!
Suggest to make something.
6. I am not young.
I adjectives in negative form.
7. Why don’t we eat together?
How to ask gently to make something.
8. I am not beautiful.
NA adjectives in negative form.
If I find better titles, I will feel free to change them! :)

Start learning katakana
You should know hiragana if you followed the last class (if you don’t remember 3 or 4 of the symbols at first glance no problem, but you should grasp it).
You should learn katakana before the lesson of June, 28th.
The net is full of resources to study hiragana and katakana, like smart.fm and realkana.com.

Make Mistakes
We learn a lot from mistakes. So try to make sentences, to apply the discussed thing, to use the mic.

Duration
The class lasts 90 minutes, to allow everybody to speak and to understand the discussed topics.

My Credentials
I am a student like you, I will make mistakes as you do, I will understand how you feel when you don’t know something.
I am quite fond of grammar, even in my language, so I can grasp it a bit better than the average.
I am committed and passionate, and I think I can be contagious.

It was very informative and she was able to answer my questions and *mistakes* allowing me an understanding of where my mistakes were and how to correct them and use them properly. Thank you. I look forward to the next lesson.  posted about 1 year ago

Sometimes I fear I can create a legion of people who speak Japanese making the same mistakes that I usually do! :)
Check the blog of the class, there are the contents from the previous classes!
In the next days I will update the material from the last class. Feel free to post here, in the blog, or in the eduFire forum your questions about Japanese!  posted about 1 year ago
