In this class we take the lyrics of a popular Pop, Ballad, or Pop Rock songs from either the 80’s, 90’s, or more modern ones, and translate it into English. As we go along I explain its vocabulary, sentence structures, and expressions.

Music is one of the most effective ways to increase your proficiency in a language and to learn about a culture. Each week features a different artist and song, each from different countries such as Mexico and Spain.

July 31th – “La cosa mas bella” from Eros Ramazzoti

This class requires you to have at least basic Spanish skills. You will get a copy of the original lyrics by e-mail shortly before starting each session. A microphone is not required for this class but it is recommended to practice your speech.

If you consider yourself an advanced student then you can participate in Spanish as much as possible. Please take the time to examine the song that we will be working with.
