About Class

What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.

This is a class for Twitter users who would consider themselves “casual” or “beginners” at the service. We’ll cover a lot of “Twitter Theory” and hopefully by the end of it you’ll be able to take something back to your Twitter account.

In this class we will
-Learn about Twitter and what it is / how it is used
-Take a look at businesses that use Twitter
-Hashtags and @ signs
-Who should I follow? Who will follow me?
-How should a business on Twitter “act”?
-Talk about “What makes a good-quality Tweet”
-Strategies for gaining followers
-Making use of Search
-What makes up a quality Twitter account
-Becoming a Power-Twitterer
-Question & Answer
