  This is a must take class if you are new to edufire. Without this class you may be overwhelmed during your first class trying to pay attention and work out the technical use of the mic + other features.   This is a great first class to attend and covers a lot of information in such a short time. Much of the information is already given within the FAQ or forums, but that doesn't stop this class being useful, as it covers functions within the video lessons as well - such as raising your hand and sorting out the mic.   Student orientation with marco, he's great he explains everything about edufire, i'm thankful that i join the orientation, now i know what to do at edufire. Its my first time to join in class I had to admit that I feel scared and nervous because all of the students are coming from differents countries but later on when marco teaches us about edufire theres nothing to be afraid of, your not only learning here at edufire but also make friends with other people with different cultures and i love to learn with them.   It's good to know why some classes are recorded and some not, ie, the age restriction. Overall all though it's nothing that couldn't be covered in about five minutes at the beginning of a class. You could really condense it down into a small power point or flash tutorial. Some people may prefer a real life one on one instruction though. It was worth going through once.   This orientation amongst other things have made me feel completely at home with EduFire and makes me want to come back for more. I'm actually going to sign up to the next student orientation just to see if I can get in a few more questions. Marco was wonderful and if possible I will be attending some of his classes, but we can only hope. I had such a great time and felt most comfortable sitting there asking him question after question just extracting information and being able to do that with another person is priceless.   Marco is very nice and very patient! First, he explained how edufire works and what we can expect. Then, he stayed as long as he had to answering everyone's questions. I recommend everyone takes the orientation. I feel much better about navigating the edufire and excited about what I can gain from it =). In Fact, everyone I have spoken to here has been really nice.   Hey Marco, I feel that one can never go wrong with orientation! It always gives you an idea what to expect whatever your endavour. unfortunately for me I experienced the same sound problem with both classes.Your voice kept coming on and off throughout the lesson.It was very frustrating! Could you please explain to me in Layman terms what the problem could possibly be and how in your opinion I could fix it!I will certainly appreciate whatever help you can give!Thanks.   If you are new to eduFire.....an orientation class is very beneficial, if not essential, in order to make your first video conferencing class a success. Wouldn't you like to kick back with a cup of coffee (in my case it was a cup of coffee, a cf diet coke and an orange juice), feel relaxed, enjoy your class and your host?   The other day I jumped into an edufire class without taking orientation... well, of course I had difficulty following the proceedings and i didn't quite understand what i was seeing on my screen and I didn't know how to interact with the teacher.   This is a great starter class and Marco is just fantastic! It was fast too! He quick, patient, and answers any question! He's real friendly too and I learn lots here! I think I have an actual idea on what goes on in the class now instead of just sitting there going, "Uhhhhh...What button? Whoa! Words are just popping up everywhere!! Waaah!!"   For those students who are not used to either online learning or the layout of the edufire platform this class is indispensable. If you are taking your first class or tutoring session on edufire I highly recommend that you take this orientation course first.
