Emotional Freedom Techniques is commonly known as EFT or “tapping.”
EFT is the perfect tool to lose weight. Other options such as medications, diet pills, surgery, or diets alone can be expensive, physically dangerous or ineffective in the long run. These drugs do not help a person control their emotionally driven appetite.
*EFT can reduce immediate food cravings and obsessions.
EFT is an excellent tool for daily stress management, and can help reduce the stresses that cause individuals to reach out for food to tranquilize feelings of anxiety.
*EFT loosens unconscious and conscious irrational beliefs about food, weight, or hereditary factors that keep you wedded to negative images of yourself, and the self fulfilling expectation in the inevitability of remaining overweight.
*EFT addresses and eliminates negative or distorted body images that reinforce weight problems.
*EFT can target and eliminate the underlying “needs” you have to hang on to extra weight for emotional self-protection, or the perceived security of remaining “hidden” within the extra weight. Once these perceived needs are neutralized, you can emotionally, and then physically “release” the extra weight.
*EFT can be used to neutralize issues from the past that have led to a conditioned response that involves overeating. EFT can dilute the emotional charge attached to childhood trauma.
*EFT can be used to target future situations that might trigger a relapse such as high stress events or anxiety about reaching goals. Once those are addressed potential relapse triggers and incidences of self-sabotage will be decreased.
*EFT can help you realign your needs with your real image and goals to lead you to behave in ways that are congruent with your values and desires for living a healthy life.
*EFT will help you heal conflicts in your life, so to achieve your goals and behave at your maximum potential, both professionally and personally.
In summary, whether food is used to comfort, to soothe, to entertain, to punish, to hurt, to self mutilate or to tranquilize, EFT will help eradicate these powerful motivations at their roots.
The most recent workshop that I taught was very successful including one individual in particular who was able to go from 275 pounds to 130 pounds and keep it off. Again, this client didn’t have an eating problem but an emotional one, carried from their past. Once, eliminated they were able to move on with their life.
Quite often after a person loses weight they switch to another type of “addiction” or return to the old habits due to emotional reasons/proclivities that even they may not be are unaware of. This is quite often the cause with those who have a gastric bypass operation.
EFT is able to remove these emotional restraints and help the individual move forward attracting the success desired.
Best of all, anyone can learn and use EFT and one doesn’t need specialized schooling for it, though there are many in professional fields that use it in their practices due to its high success rate.
To complete the course and cover all the material will take 6 weeks. Though you will see and feel changes during and after each class. We will be meeting once per week and homework assignments will be provided. The homework assignments can easily be completed anytime of the day. One on one counseling sessions are available if you so chose.
In this workshop:
1) You will have a through understanding how to apply the tapping techniques to yourself.
2) I will help you identify the core reasons why you haven’t been successful with your weight-loss goals in the past.
3) You will learn how to over come your chief complaints using this simple universal healing tool.
4) You will learn how to imprint positive habits to ensure continued success with your weight-loss goals.
I will be emailing all students a questionnaire in advance of the class. Please sign up for the class at least two days in advance so I have time to review the responses so as to better tailor the workshop to your needs.
We will be jumping in with both feet on the first class learning the “basic setup.” I am asking for volunteers to work with for each class. If you are so inclined please tell me so.
I look forward to this workshop. The experiences have always been enlightening and rewarding.
