Expand your understanding of the Latin language by reading texts on Roman history, myths and daily life.
We will study more grammar and vocabulary as necessitated by these texts. By the end of this class, you may start tackling Roman authors with the help of a dictionary. We may even do the one or other original Latin text already in this class, if it is not too difficult, or I may give you texts that are only slightly adapted from the original. In any case, this class will allow you to make progress quickly.
Since this class is highly structured, you need to either attend every class or at least be able to study the materials on your own during the week if you miss one. I will record the classes so you can also watch the videos.
Free bonusses for students of this class:
- all class materials as PDF
- video recordings of the sessions, typically a day or two after the class
- an Anki vocabulary file with all the words for this course
I want to be able to dedicate enough time to every student’s needs. Therefore, class size is limited. If you want to participate, sign up quickly!
The main audience of this course are the graduates of my Latin 101 class, but you are welcome to join in, too, if you know
- the 1st, 2nd and 3rd declension
- present, past and future tense
- at least 150 words of vocabulary
