Almost universally, those who struggle with math on standardized tests struggle with “decoding the problem.” That is to say, translating the written words into something useful, breaking it down into parts that are reasonable to work with, then putting it back together as a final answer.
I teach and tutor at Boys’ Latin, a private prep school in Baltimore, and I will show you the method I teach my students for overcoming this difficulty.
Please join me for 1, 2 or 3 days this week as I apply this simple method to a variety of GMAT math problems.
