This is not the complete course, just lesson 11 for my previous class. However, you are welcome to come as a spectator.
Expand your understanding of the Latin language by reading texts on Roman history, myths and daily life.
We will study more grammar and vocabulary as necessitated by these texts. By the end of this class, you may start tackling Roman authors with the help of a dictionary. We may even do the one or other original Latin text already in this class, if it is not too difficult, or I may give you texts that are only slightly adapted from the original. In any case, this class will allow you to make progress quickly.
Its main audience is of course graduates of my Latin 101 class, new beginner class starting here), but you are welcome to join in, too, if you know
- the 1st, 2nd and 3rd declension
- present, past and future tense
- at least 150 words of vocabulary
Since this class is highly structured, you need to either attend every class or at least be able to study the materials on your own during the week if you miss one.
I want to be able to dedicate enough time to every student’s needs. Therefore, class size is limited. If you want to participate, sign up quickly!
All lessons will be recorded!
