Do you use social networking online or plan to write an HTML site? Learn both in this complete course on HTML.

Both people who need to pretty-up their profiles and post, and people who are planning to write a web-site can learn from classes in this course.

Class 1: October 26; text decoration and images: This is a very practical class for someone who has no knowledge of HTML yet. It focuses on how to make HTML lines attractive.
Class 2: November 2 (9am PST); ~~tag basics and page structure.~~: How tags are used when posting on a blog or when writing an HTML site from scratch.
Class 3: November 2 (1pm PST); the future of HTML: This is a theory based class of what is changing soon with HTML5 and CSS3.
Class 4: November 9 (1pm PST); fancy lists and tables in HTML: This is a practical class on some of the advanced techniques in making attractive lists and tables. We will make use of some of the more advanced technologies like Cascading Style Sheets so please be prepared.
Class 5: November 23 (1pm PST); Colors and images in HTML(November 16, 1pm PST): The basic details you will need to create a modern web page like; the RGB color model, image compression and transparency. We will make use of some of the more advanced technologies like Cascading Style Sheets so please be prepared.
Class 6: November 30 (1pm PST); Typography: Spruce-up your text and earn how to make it look professional and appealing at the same time. We will make use of some of the more advanced technologies like Cascading Style Sheets so please be prepared.

Know how to use a text editor like Notepad (I recommend the freeware textpad here at
http://www.textpad.com/download/).
Know computer basics like what a file is.
Know social networking basics like what a post and profile is.
Know web basics like what a host is.
For class #3 and #4 know the basics of HTML and CSS like what <p> <b> and <i> is, the difference between a class and an id, and what a selector is. Class #1 and #2 will cover these topics.
