Most people on the internet have yet to recognize the awesome opportunities set forth by the website academicearth.org. When visiting the website, one may partake in the opportunity to sit in an Ivy League classroom and listen to a lecture of their choice for FREE! POR GRATIS (A MIS AMIGAS BORICUAS)!!!

The website was launched on March 24, 2009 with this mission in mind:

"Our goal is to bring the best content together in one place and create an environment in which that content is remarkably easy to use and where user contributions make existing content increasingly valuable. We invite those who share our passion to explore our website, participate in our online community, and help us continue to find new ways to make learning easier for everyone."

With such an opportunity like this, who would pass up taking a FREE course of psychology in a recorded Yale classroom as opposed to paying $3,000 to register for the course in real life? Basically, one can get all of the thrill and learning that an Ivy League student would without the costs.

It makes me wonder if Academic Earth is the rising power on the online education market that will soon take over the world and EAT EDUFIRE ALIVE!!!

NAH! There's no way some cheesy website that shows recordings of Ivy League professors can beat our awesome one on one tutoring and the ability to answer questions on demand.

I must say, however, that I find it interesting that in the past couple of years or so, education has completely immersed itself within the internet. From online college campuses, online tutoring, and online classes to discussing homework on AIM, the internet has become the hub for all modern education. It's been a key and unlocked the door to an unknown universe for many.

As someone told me, once you stop learning, you are no longer living :D
