What is love?

So, you asked me what love is.  This is my concept of love;

     Love is from the Almighty Allah. He is the source of love and he is love. Without him, there is no love nor life. Love is something we are born with, we do not learn it. Love is  spontaneous.

Love is like sex; we do not learn sex, yet we can do it without anybody telling us about it. 

When you love some one, he will know that you love him from your actions and words.

The word (I love you) is not enough to prove your love and to justify it, you have to prove it by actions.

     Unfortunately, some people do not know how to love, and it is very painful not to be able to receive or to give love. Those people are suffering from one of two illnesses;

1-Lack of faith; when we lose our faith in God Almighty, we can not love nor to be loved. When you have good relationship with God Almighty you can love yourself, and only  then you can give and receive love. We can conclude that to be able to give or receive love and to receive it, you have to believe in God, and then love yourself.

2- Disturbed childhood; during our childhood, we obtain love from our parents by being loved . When we are neglected by one of them, we feel worthless, unloved, or unwanted.

Such a person would not be able to give love. When he or she grows up, he would need psychiatric help. Sometimes, during our childhood, we encounter a trauma, a disaster, or a catastrophe, that would leave us in a severe emotional disturbance, and it will cause us not to be able to love nor receive it.

Love is a very beautiful feeling. Love is sharing, caring, and giving. Real love is absolute and abstract. When you love, you are willing to do anything to satisfy your lover. Love and sex are two different concepts. While love is spiritual and intangible, sex is physical, Sex is the manifestation and justification of love.

Love penetrates your soul, body, mind, and heart. Love can not be taught, but we might be able to polish it. Love is an instinct in all of us.

There was a period in my life when I could not love because my relationship with the Almighty god was not as it sould be. Once, I mended that relationship and improved it, God Almighty give me his love back and now I can love another time. Love is a very beautiful  and enjoyable feeling.

That is love for me.
