I remember when I was in high school and I studied French, we always had a lesson or two about the Francophonie every year…. :)

Let’s not forget that there are even some countries that don’t use French as a national language, but are members of the OIF (Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie). For example, Romania is a member of the OIF and the Summit of Francophony was organized at Bucharest in 2006…. :)
