Hello everyone,

I just wanted to tell you that next week I will be starting a series of presentation on Russian history NOT THE WAY IT IS IN YOUR TEXTBOOK.
Russian and Soviet history is most controversional, most tragic and still has many secrets. I want to show you the history through the life of common people. I was born in Soviet Union myself, and had a perfectly-Soviet childhood till the collapse of USSR in 1991.
This time I would like to present Soviet posters and old pictures and tell you about the life of women before and after the revolution.

Sounds fascinating, I’ll try and make it. I’ve long had an interest in Russian history ever since I read Anna Karenina (Leo Tolstoy).

I’ll registere for this class, if it’s not too early in the morning:)

If you guys are interested in this class but time is bad for you, I can repeat it at ohter time, but I should know when.
I am also tempted to make a class on Russian literature, which is my great passion.

This sounds fascinating Yulia! You are so right about the ‘text books’ they do not always tell you everything.
