Hey! I was going through the groups, and I sadly realized that some groups are showing very little activity. There are some great groups. JOIN…Participate…get them moving! |

Yes, Enrique, I’m a little disappointed, myself. At this point I sort of wonder if the idea of a Creative Writing in English group is viable. Perhaps it is only that the holidays have everyone very busy, so I’ll wait and see what happens in January. |

can we philosophise a little about the role of groups in eduFire in the mind of tutors and students? do you view them more as the typical language club and a focused extension of this chat room, or as a resource place, where you deal more than anything with the tools of the trade, the practical applications of your own discipline, the content itself of courses, of handouts, the findings online that best apply to you, or all of the above and more…. I am sure the answer lies somewhere within these parameters, with a good dose of the right glue coming from the personalities present and the role they decide to play individually and as a group; it’s therefore a give and take, a fluid reality that can produce all types of results, big and small, just for the taking and the offering…. it’s me again rambling…. |

Some great points here. I believe the groups will take a little time to get going. At the moment I think we are all just feeling our way around. I do imagine them like a ‘club’ as Silvio mentioned. For example, if you need to find out how to use a phrase in Russian, the Russian group would be a better place to ask than the forum as only Russian students and teachers would ‘frequent’ the club. Not only this of course, it is a good social place to meet others that are learning or teaching your language etc. which is much harder to do on a forum. |

eduFire’s definitely going to be adding more features to groups over the next few months – I think right now it’s a little difficult to participate because there aren’t enough options, at the moment. Please add ideas you have for groups on the idea board, too! It helps us improve! |

I have just started the Hindi group….but I was wondering, how do I add flashcards? I know how to create them but I cannot understand how to add the to the group… |

I think once we get the increased functionality that Koichi mentioned the Groups will take off more….like Koichi said at the current time they are very limited so it is hard for tons of user interaction. Please help Koichi and team think of ideas and enhancements to better this cool feature! |

Need to get people to be active in the groups. Some groups have shown NO activity in DAYS I’ve joined a few groups. I’ll continue active in them. and just start leaving the innactive ones. |
