Almost two more hours here…. and my wife had to work tonight at the hospital, so I am here all alone bringing in 2009! (Well, I can’t say that—my dog is sticking very close by tonight for some reason. Good faithful Buddy!) |

I know how you feel Tony! Everyone here has passed out for the night, leaving me the only one up to celebrate. :( 3 hours to go…… |

Tony – Your dog is awesome, my cat was a little more lively tonight than usual. |

Ah, thanks Greg. Actually the dog in my profile pic is a previous animal, Prince Madoc. Prince Madoc was killed by a hit-and-run driver a couple of years ago. (You can read his tribute here: http://bellsouthpwp.net/P/r/PrinceMadoc/Madoc_poem.htm ) I just love that look Madoc is giving me in that picture, though. Madoc was a registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and Buddy is half Corgi, half Basenji, so they do look a little bit alike. Madoc was very “foxy” looking, though, and had only a nubbin of a tail. Buddy has that classic curled-over-the-back Basenji tail, but short Corgi legs. |
