Ooh, interesting! I guess I’ll be the first to contribute :D
Since the country I’m from might be pretty obvious, and since I don’t really know much about the cultures I’m composed of, I’m going to break a rule and list things about my state.
1. We apparently hold the “Live Music Capital of the World.”
2. Surprisingly and fortunately over half of us voted for Obama.
3. About 70% of the country’s Vietnamese population live here.
4. We were ravaged by a terrible hurricane last September.
5. Rice University is located here.
6. You simply cannot find a block without a restaurant.
7. We have some of the best hospitals in the world.
8. We have over 24 million residents.
9. This state holds the fourth largest city (I happen to live here) in the country.
10. We were originally claimed by Spain.
11. It actually snows here.
(This is getting really hard!)
12. Roman Catholicism is the most popular religion here.
13. One of my city’s nicknames is “Space City” because we have NASA.
14. We have a pretty gross beach.
15. Well I got pretty desperate for this one, and apparently…. um…. Hilary Duff is from here.
Have fun guessing! :D

Texas it is!!! I guess those were some pretty obvious clues, but I didn’t realize finding facts about the place I’ve lived my whole life would be so difficult.

Oh oh me next! Not quite a country, but still!
1. We have one of the world’s longest suspension bridges.
2. We have the highest density of Rolls-Royces in the world.
3. We have an area which has one of the highest population densities in the world.
4. We have a population of around 7.8 million people.
5. We have twice the amount of skyscrapers as New York! (A skyscraper defined as a building with over 14 floors.)
6. We have a 24-hour shopping mall!
7. We aren’t governed by a democracy.
8. We’re the home (and birthplace of) one of the top ten richest men in the world.
9. We have a twisted pop-culture. We took an Olympic swimmer and made him into a pop-icon.
10. One of our universities (according to itself) is ranked 18th in the world.
11. We have a world-class airport.
12. Our capital is apparently our harbour. (Even I’m not entirely sure how that works.)
13. English is one of the official languages. (Although many people can hardly speak it!)
14. People burn fake money and paper house hold items on the streets as offerings to our ancestors.
15. We’re terribly racist. We call white people ‘ghost men’ (or ghost ladies), black people ‘black ghosts’ and something untranslatable for Indians. (If you’re curious: ‘Ah Tsaa’)
I’m so proud. :I

I’m not talking about the UK here but the individual country. ;)
1) We are the most violent country in the world. According to the United Nations, 3% of our people have been attacked. Compared to 1.4% in America and 0.1% in Japan.
2) If Hitler was able to kill all the jewish and black people, he was going to kill everyone who originated from my country, because we were seen as being to “rebellious”.
3) There is more people in London than there is in my country.
4) We eat a sheep’s heart liver and lungs, minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal’s stomach for approximately three hours.
5) We like to toss trees as a sport.
6) We have a language other than English, Scottish Gaelic, spoken by 1.4 percent of the population.
7) Our capital was the first city in the world which had its own fire-brigade
8) Our capital, like Rome, was built on seven hills.
9) We gave birth to arguably the most popular James Bond.
10) We have 600 square miles of fresh water lakes.
11) We have 790 islands – 130 inhabited
12) We can be stereotyped to, men who wear skirts, have ginger hair and drink nothing but whisky.
13) Until 1603, we had our own King.
14) Our country’s motto “No one provokes me with impunity”
15) And apparently, our official animal is the unicorn….(this is a surprise to me)
