My question to everyone is, should the family accept the publicity money? If so, is it ethical (for the infant’s sake)? |

Good question! we’ve seen this story here in Canada as well…. I’ll only say that I DO hate people making money from their stories (which most of the time are kind of involving questionable conduct/behaviour/ethics)…. |

Interesting Article Ginny. My honest opinion…..heck yeah they should take the money. They obviously are going to need it to raise the child. They are only 13 and 15 years old. Besides mooching off their parents, how else are they going to afford taking care of a baby? If people are willing to pay for their story, then why not take advantage of the financial benefits? What’s better? Being “ethnical” and not taking the money-and in return struggle to make ends meet or taking the money and provide for your family? Especially in these tough economic times, I think people would think twice about this situation! |

Holy crap! A THIRTEEN YEAR OLD! IM 15 and I would so not…..under ant circumstance…..WHOA just WHOA. I htink they should probaly take the money, anyway though, because theyre going to need it for the baby. Poor baby, though. |

It isn’t exactly “right,” but Valerie’s right, who wouldn’t jump at such an opportunity? It is a difficult time, and the majority of people would jump at the chance for “easy money” like that. You can’t blame ‘em, especially since they’re just trying to stay afloat. |
