Hi Everyone. I will be facilitating a TESOL workshop in Mexico at their annual international convention for teachers of English to speakers of other languages. Actually the Mexican sister TESOL organization is called MEXTESOL. I have already received notification that I have been selected to be a workshop presenter on being an English teacher in the 21st century. The topic is "Connectivism – Personal Learning Networks (PLNs) and the 21st Century Teacher. I am now looking for a Co-presenter that may want to jump into this workshop for the experience. I am looking for someone that is an educator in the area of language arts … AND has a proven background in using Web technologies in English instruction and/or professional development. This means that you probably have an active professional blog, use Web 2.0 tools like Flickr, Twitter, Voicethread, podcasts, RSS, social bookmarks, social networks, and the like. The convention will be in Leon, Mexico, in the state of Guanajuato (central colonial Mexico) on Oct 16-19. I don’t believe that MEXTESOL covers travel or transportation costs; so it would have to be something that you choose to do for the experience itself (looks good on a resume). Anyway, if anyone is interested, please drop me a line here or at my blog (just pick any post and leave a comment). My blog is “”http://franksblog.edublogs.org">The 21st Century Teacher." Or, you can join my English social network and leave a message there, too. I check both daily. There are links to both sites on my EduFire profile page. Thanks |

It’s too bad ! I just needed to have some more bucks ! NB is latin and means “nota bene = note well” but sounds like French (note à benêts = note for dummies) NB : it’s simple : you are invited but you pay for all !!! |
