I’m really excited about this little project I’ve been working on the last week or so. I want to give the really passionate members the ability to go up and beyond the “call of duty.” I want to help people to become leaders. I want to reward those that are a very positive influence on the forums. That’s where the “eduFire Ambassador” program comes into play. We want to limit this program to just a few people. Right now, I’m looking at 3 Teacher Ambassadors, and 3 Student Ambassadors. Ambassadors will get: Teacher Ambassador Program: Student Ambassador Program: These are traits we look for in an ambassador: We’d love it if you apply, and even though we’re only adding three teachers and three students (right now) we’ll keep your application on file as eduFire grows! |

This sounds like a really great idea! I’ve only been here a week so I won’t apply as there are far more suitable candidates, but I’m looking forward to seeing the new ambassadors soon! |

I applied. |
This page says that both teacher and students ambassadors get Tribes and the application page only lists Tribes under teacher. Which is it? |
great idea |

- Passionate about eduFire? That sounds like Enrique who looks like an ambassador already and DJ would be another super cool embassador (though I haven’t seen her for a while) I can’t wait to see the new edubassadors (? ) |
I agree, Angela. Enrique would make a perfect candidate. :) |
Hey Joe, Whoops, that’s an oversight on my part – both get the book. I’ll go in and make the changes now. |
@Angie and Austin. Thanks to both of you! |
I’d love to apply but fear I shall be busy soon enough, with sophomore year coming up (college). I definitely think Enrique would be a great edubassador (lol!), as well as Ron Smith. |
Good one, Laura! Ron would be awesome! |

I applied . . . and I wrote a poem. |

@Koichi and eduFire admin: just my two cents as a FYI from a cultural standpoint. In some cultures (like Japanese), it is a “no-no”, “distasteful”, or “frowned upon” to self nomiate one self, and usually those that do self nominate, are really not the best performers. (I’ve heard similar attitudes from my fellow Asian and Eastern European friends as well). As Angela did, sometimes the best (fit) talents will come out from nominations other than one’s self. It might be a good idea to encourage nominations from the community, in addition to self nomination; where it’s totally cool to do so culturally and where talent usually follows, as in the US and some other cultures. |

I also vote to Enrique. |
I would apply, but no way have I been here long enough. On another note, I made a new video that is kind of in that spirit, so check out my profile. |
i voted for me, i am the ambassador of edufire in Alexandria, Egypt and the rest of the Arab world {22 countries in the middle east} |
@TheHiddenImam Thats a good one! |
@Wren: thanks : ) |
@angela, yes |
Oh Angela, you’re right, once I claimed it. But then I almost disappeared for one month! I think I will restart to be active here, but cannot spend any more almost all my spare time on the forum! :D Does anybody else think that I should apply, even if I didn’t write here for one whole month? |
@Wren – that’s true, who would you nominate? Can I nominate you? @Marzia – I think you should feel free to apply if you feel like you’re qualified and have the time! |
@Marzia – apply please!!!! |
Marzia, Wren and Debbie H should apply! : ) |
Maria apply! You are the spirit of teaching. |
I second Wren’s thoughts. Encouraging nominations from the community will bring the best forward. |
