Marketing guru Ron has reminded me that we’re getting close to 50,000 posts, which means opportunity for eduFire prizes :) I was thinking of 50,000 prizes, but we don’t want to go bankrupt, so instead I’m thinking 5+5+5 for 50,000 posts. Here they are! - 5 eduFire T-shirts Here’s the rules for it: The first 15 people to send me a screenshot of the forums hitting 50,000 posts will get one of these prizes. When I get the screenshots, I’ll let you choose one of the 15 prizes in the order that I get the e-mails, which means the quicker you send them in, the more likely you will be to get the prize you want! There’s also a catch – if we don’t get to 50,000 posts in one week (next Friday at noon, PDT), nobody gets any prizes, which means we all have to pitch in to get the remaining 1,500 posts in time. So what can we do to get to the magic number? I wonder when we’ll hit 50,000…. hopefully before Friday! See you ’round, Basset Hound. You can send your screenshots to me: koichi@edufire.com and I’ll base the order of winners on when I get the e-mail, so the sooner / faster the better! |

Wow! That is amazing to be nearing 50,000 posts! I hope my little post here helps :) |

I am sure I could win 1 of the prizes. Hahaha, but I will give the opportunity to others. I will still contribute my posts. |

Ooo, look, badges (I feel like I’m playing Pokemon or something). |

I would love to win a eduFire T-shirt to wear to the next town Farmer’s Market. I’m always talking about eduFire with friends…. with a t-shirt maybe some shoppers would ask me about it. I love spreading GOOD news about education. |

Now we’re one step closer! |

But are we going fast enough to hit that Friday deadline? Must keep posting :) |

Two weeks ago (August 1st) I wrote in another forum thread regarding class size and marketing the following comment…. And by the way, for those who do not still believe large numbers make a difference just realize that we are only about 3,200 postings away from 50,000. Do you think we can get there by the end of August? I do, so hey, why not try! Now as of August 15th at 1:05pm Pacific Time we are reoughly 1,316 postings shy from the 50,000 mark. This comes out to roughly 8.5 postings per hour that is necessary if we are to reach the magical mark of 50,000 by Friday night (11:59 pm US Pacific Time). Unfortunately the weekend is traditionally the slowest time of all for eduFire forum postings when compared with the rest of the week – or at least it is according to my observations. So we do have our work cut out for us! But I know we can do it! |

Impressive! I think we can do this; the forums seem to be more active lately. . . . This is also one more post toward 50,000! |

Come over and post in my thread too! :) click here |

Okay…. here is a bit of a challenge for Debbie! Debbie is only 43 comments shy of 3000 forum thread postings! Do you think she can pass the 3,000 mark by noon on Monday? That is roughly 46 hours away…. I think she can do it! |
I agree! lol :) |
Go Debbie….Go…. |
I will do my best….. ;) |
Wow! 50,000 posts! :D P.S. Go Debbie!!! |
Thanks guys! I am still shy of some posts here… yikes! I need to do some serious posting today! |
Hmm, by my reckoning we have only done 44 posts since Ron posted 17 hours ago. We have only been averaging round 2.6 posts per hour and we now need to average around 10 posts per hour to get there. Post faster everybody :) |
Go Debbie, Go! You can do it! |
Thanks Joe! I am getting a little nervous I have to admit! |
I reckon we now need a little over 10.5 posts per hour to hit the 50,000 target by noon Friday US Pacific time. Hopefully things will pick up after the weekend. |

Thanks Mair, I reckon we can certainly do that. I an on the other hand am not sure I will be able to complete my goal set by Ron but hopefully I can. |
