Hi Everyone, Since this is a global community, I’m curious about the way some of you call other countries. Do you use international calling cards or do you have amazing deals with your landlines and cell phones? I’ve had some phone bills that are painful to behold. I tried international calling cards, but some of them seem shady. |

I use skype. Make sure the other person has skype. Its free and you can see each other |

Skype! Best calling service ever! :) |

Skype… and now you can even use it from an iphone! It’s free if both you and the other person has skype but you can also pay and have a phone number that can be called from anywhere…. It’s great… I use it whenever i travel or when i want to call other countries for little or no expense. |

Yeah, Skype is pretty much the way to go. |

I have a great deal in the UK mixed in with my broadband and TV package. I pay £5 a month and get free calls to many countries. |

Skype for me too, or my regular house phone as my calling plan allows it for most countries. |

I have to chime in and say Skype. I know for sure skype can be used with the iphones. Skype is also working on making it compatible with blackberry. (I cant wait!) Long distance and International fees will be a thing of the past! |

Am I the only one who’s going to say Google Voice? Skype is pretty awesome too, I suppose :) |

google voice is still beta and you need an invite and there’s the ad thing….Skype has been around a while. Google voice sounds good though…. |

Get the skype credit. I think it is $0.017 per min. I used skype to call the cell/home/ office phones of my colleagues in other countries and also my parents and even to send text message. |

Thank you for all the input. We seem to have a clear winner. |
