For those of you that don’t know, Na Na is my Japanese tutor, and she is always looking out for ways to improve her students’ learning. A bit of a hard task-master, though ;-)

Hmm, let me try this then:

今日本語を勉強しています

I am studying Japanese now.

今 = Now
日本語 = Japanese Language
を = Particle that marks the object of the sentence
勉強 = Study/Studying
しています = am/is doing

Well I cannot contribute to this in Japanese but wow.. Japanese looks so beautiful!!

Looks ugly in Internet Explorer, but it looks very nice in Firefox. Another reason to use Firefox … or possibly google chrome, but I haven’t looked at the Japanese on their new browser yet…

Looks pretty good to me! Difinitely prettier than this stuff I’m using!

日本 is read RI BEN in Chinese “day root” because Japan is the root of the sun.
RI BEN is pronounced like ZHE BEN. It’s the origin of the european name JAPAN/JAPON.

There is no 習う in the sentences you guys made.

1. たこを食べましたがきらいだった。↓
たこを食べましたが、私の口には合いませんでした。

2. たこを食べてみましたがきらいなので、はきだしました。
This one is soooooooo nice and unique^{^

I don’t live in a city but in a village of 1 000.
And I hate big cities :-) The maximum for me must be around 100 000 inhabitants. I learn everything but check my profile concerning the languages I really feel good with right now. I would say I am okay in 5 and I mutter in 5 000 :-)
