How do you know when you have met the one? I mean the ONE to complete you, the ONE who will share the same intrests as you. Does love at first sight exist?

I think you know when you have met the “one” when your stomach is in knots.. your head is swimming.. you look forward to seeing that person and spending time together… and that feeling never subsides.. then, I think, you have met the “one”!

I believe in love at first sight as that is exactly what happened when I met Chris, 10 years on and I have married him and still have the feelings that Brandi described above!

I think the ‘one’ is someone who you feel completely at ease with, someone who you can truly be yourself with.

I do believe in love at first sight because that is how I felt the first moment I saw my kids on the day they were born. Love it a chemical reaction you experience and it does happen for some instantly. Unfortunately sometimes it happens that the person you fall for is not the best partner for you. So the best advice I have to offer is to follow your feelings, but to give it time to develop and to get to know each other better before any commitments are made. I did not take a huge amount of time getting to know my dh, but it ended up being a good match luckily. I just had so many doubts in the beginning.

I am picky too. If I could choose I would like him to be special, and sweet. Also, respectful and tough. I would like him a little taller then me. That would be cool, i will be able to wear heals. YEAAAAHHH!! I also would want him to be religiouse. Well i think i just described my dad….wow! Mom always told me, ‘’laila dear, you will find a guy like your baba. Cause you look up to him so much. ’’ God i wish she was here to see me know. It is tough talking with abi about boys and opening up. Thanks guys! For all your help. I hope the guy i meet will give me all those feelings, as you guys said.

Hi Vicky – it is said (not sure by whom.. could be Freud) that when girls grow up, they will be attracted to men similar to their fathers.. and vice versa for boys when they grow up.. they are attracted to people who resemble their mothers.

There is nothing wrong with being picky.. but don’t let pickiness blind you from the “one”…

I have always been the type to pursue the bad boy…someone that didn’t want to be committed so therefore, the unattainable. Like you and Hamdy, I’m very picky. I have always had a certain type. I have had the opportunity to date a bunch of losers :) but then about 2 years ago…I met the ONE! :) For me it wasn’t all about the physical appearance, but yes that does help. This time for me, it was about the connection…and we are two peas in a pod. You will know with time if he is the one.

My first love was as tall as the bottom of my nose, lol. My dh is only an inch or two shorter than me, so that is an improvement. I still feel lucky to have him, I think we are a good match. Good luck in your search for love.
