CONTEMPLATING teaching classes

As some of you may or may not know, I have a degree in Culinary Arts, and I was thinking of perhaps teaching some kitchen basics and fundamentals. I sort of got the idea from Rachel Fracassa’s decision to host food raw classes. Although my classes wouldn’t completely focus on “raw” concepts, I would still incorporate health and weight friendly advice and recipes, as I am pretty knowledgeable on healthy eating.

If you are interested in filleting a fish, quartering a whole chicken, improving your knife skills, making sauces, or even baking, I would be more than happy to offer my knowledge! I just want some input before I sign up as a tutor and pointlessly buy a bunch of food. I would hate to have gone all out only to find out no one would be attending my classes! :P

I’ll also have a “test” session to see if my computer’s streaming capability is up to par with everyone else’s. I have high speed internet and everything, but I’m still afraid of being laggy.

Lauren, I agree with Jon, definitely worth a shot. Sign up as a tutor and I’ll make sure you are contacted and we get you all set up!

Thanks, guys, for the encouragement! I will give it a shot then! I can’t always let my timidity hold me back.

Hmm…. I didn’t really want to have to charge for these classes quite yet, but the minimum allowance is $10. :/

Hey Lauren,

The $10 min you’re referring to is for 1:1 classes. That’s ok.

Once you have set your profile up, click on ‘Classes’ along the top of the webpage, create your class, and you’ll see an option to make it free! :)

[I just deleted my previous message here as it was posted to the wrong board. I have no idea how I managed to do that. (sigh) Very sorry for the confusion.]

I know I already told you Lauren, but a class like this would be fantastic!!!
