It's back! Flashcard Contest 2...this time we're playing for charity!

By popular demand we’re having another Flashcard Contest starting in the month of August. This time the competition will be for the overall highest score (your cumulative score across all languages) for the entire month of August.

And to throw a very cool twist into it…this time we’re playing for charity!!!

Here’s how it works. For the person finishing first in the Flashcard Contest eduFire will donate $100 to the charity of your choice. For the 2nd and 3rd place runner-ups we’ll donate $50 each to the charity of your choice. Plus, we’ll send the Top 3 finishers some cool eduFire swag (e.g., T-shirts, etc.) when we finally get around to making some (soon…we promise! :)).

This will be a lot of fun and a great way to compete and do some good in the world in the process. Get your trigger fingers (and carpel tunnel braces!) ready for Friday!!! :)

Flashcard contest started today and it’s Dario in the early lead. Minda and Kurt aren’t far behind. Go people go!!! :)

Heheh catching up to Dario now…gotta get a nice lead after I pass him since I depart this month and won’t have internet for the rest of the month hehehe

I’m really like to play for fun with flashcards… and Play for charity is really good!! (and the t-shirt, of course lol)

Dario is crushing it but Minda has been coming on strong lately. And do not count Kurt out! Of course, it’s early in the month so it’s really anyone’s game at this point! :)

Dario and Aalia neck and neck. This is fun to watch!!! :)

This is big fun, I think its a great idea to add a slight element of competition to vocab learning. I really like the countdown feature on the cards as I’m sure it will help improve our recognition times.

Aalia is in position for the gold medal while Laverne has her eye on the silver and Chayden is well-positioned for the bronze. Now the question is whether someone will make a Phelps-style charge to overtake them (how crazy was that 100m butterfly BTW?!!!) or will the leaders continue to hold? 2 more weeks left, time to make your move!!!

This was a fun and beneficial contest for me. I was able to find out my strong and weak points in all the languages that I have studied.
