Shiritori (しりとり) is a Japanese word game in which the players are required to say a word which begins with the final kana of the previous word. No distinction is made between hiragana, katakana and kanji. “Shiritori” literally means “taking the bottom” as Japanese language can be written vertically. I start with So someone has to start with む=ム=MU |

And I realized that only nouns are permitted as well. So I fail, haha. Here’s my new word: |

Oh, I see now. So players take turns to play. Hmm, does that mean that I should wait until after Koichi takes his next turn before I add another word? |

Speaking of festivals, in the month of August the city of Iida in Nagano celebrated their “Apple Festival”, so the next word will be: リンゴ (ringo: apple) as in the fruit, not the computer company ;-) |

Hey Susan, welcome to our game :), Just one thing you can’t use an ん at the end, we just playing last letter, not last 2. I feel your pain about the not using a dictionary, sadly though, I have only been studying for about a month or so, so my vocab is very limited. アイスクリーム→むぎ→ぎじゅつ→つなみ→みず→ずれ→れいぼう→ |
