I would like to have someone on edufire offering classes on Urdu and/or Punjabi language. I’m not a complete beginner and I think if they are with superpass someone else would be interested too, I only have one request, the teacher should include the script in his/her lessons. I already studied the script of these languages and would like to practice it too…

Is there really any difference between Hindi and Urdu besides the script and some of the vocabulary?

From what I can see Urdu teachers think there is more than Hindi teachers.

There is an Urdu class going on, but both nights the teacher has been a no-show

Sean, the class you are talking about does not seem of any interest to me, first of all the teacher didn’t show up several times and secondly he pasted in the description the description of another teacher. I also offer superpass lessons, this does not mean the class has to be a cheaper option….

@Dave Urdu differs firstly in the script, secondly it has some Persian constructions and avoids Sanskritic loanwords (in Pakistan they choose Arabic loanwords instead), I am also interested in Urdu poetry, which has its own rules and styles.

@Shireen are you going to offer any classes on superpass for urdu? No the demand for urdu, hindi, tamil, punjabi and other seems very small. It seems like outside of free classes no to much interest.
