Hello there Matt,

I was thinking about running a Polish class on eduFire, but it seems there’s not a lot of interest paid to this language. As a native I can run 1-on-1 classes too. How advanced are you?

Do usłyszenia,
Mizuu

@Agnieszka. I just saw you created this Class but, is it in Polish or Japanese? Its under the subject “Japanese”. But everything is written in Polish…..I think.

I teach Japanese there to my Polish students, hence the class is conducted in Polish (all the explanations and so on) on he topic of Japanese. I’m trying to promote eduFire to non-English speakers in my country that way.

@ Agnieszka Mizuu, well if you’d ever put on a group class about Polish that suits my schedule I’d surely attend it. I already speak Russian and I’m very curious about Polish language, and it’s not an easy language to study on my own, so a teacher is always welcome =)

@Aemilia:
I have mostly students from Poland and countries around it (but I taught Polish to Brazilians who came to study here, for example) so my idea about timezones (excluding Japan) and which time work the best for everyone is rather weak, a blind guess merely I suppose :D

Maybe it would be a good idea to have a free group lesson about Polish phonetics (they’re quite…. hard to prounance, but easy to read once you’ve learnt it) and then to have paid session with those that think they can do it.

@ Agnieszka Mizuu
That’s exactly what I do with Russian students, a free intro lesson so that they can have an idea of what’s ahead, many get scared lol
Well I have a flexible schedule, specially on weekends….
Can Polish pronunciation be somehow related to Russian? =)

@Aemilia:
When it comes to accent – no. When it comes to specific sounds – more or less yes, but the phonological system of Polish and Russian are different (less different of course than Polish and English for example).

Maybe next weekend then? 15 or 16?

Thank you. Well the 16th is better for me ‘cause I have only one class scheduled. Please let me know what you’ve decided =)
