There’s another professional networking site called Biznik, though it’s a little different, and I think it takes more work to make it work well for you. If you like to write articles, it might be a good site to look into. Somtimes there are some good articles to read, too.

I’m going to be checking out various ones like Biznik soon – I learned about it during a free webinar about social network marketing. But, I don’t have the materials to use on it quite yet. I’m going to develop some short podcasts first, actually. Anyone on EduFire doing that I wonder?

I joined Linked-in a while back and filled in my profile completely. Now I’m starting to get offers from different organizations looking for people with my expertise. If you are looking for more opportunities, I would highly recommend joining this site. Another one which is similar, but more European is xing (www.xing.com).

How much spam do you get from this? Do they show your email address?

I’ve gotten virtually no spam. I did get a request from someone that I didn’t respond to, but did not consider it spam. As far as email addresses—you decided who sees it based on your security settings.
