Hello Everyone! I have been working on developing a unique definition of the term marketing that takes into consideration the evolving online tutor/student relationship. The reason for this has alot to do with my upcoming class on Saturday as well to help me determine what aspects of marketing my services online are the most crucial to consider as I refine my online marketing strategy. I have been working to examine the development of a healthy, professional relationship between the tutor and the student to help me determine exactly how to nail down this definition. Not only does eduFire have some of the best tutors online, it also has some of the greatest students as well. Therefore, I was hoping that some of you can help me better understand what you feel is the most important characteristics of the online tutor/student relationship and how it can best be defined from a marketing concept. The working definition is written below… Marketing from an online tutor’s perspective involves the process of creating positive relationships with both your students and potential students based upon their educational goals and needs. The understanding that comes from this type of relationship helps lead to the creation of classes that are motivating, challenging, entertaining, and filled with value from your student’s perspective. This process benefits the tutor through classes that prove to be popular as well as financially rewarding. Please take the opportunity to give constructive criticism to this working definition by posting your insights to this forum thread.
