If you came to the eduFire town hall meeting tonight, you’ll know a little bit about our plans to do a design update to the eduFire site. There was talk about coming up with a “codename” for this site-wide update.

That’s where you come in, “eduFire agent.”

Come up with a great code name for the upcoming update, and we’ll choose our favorite (which means you get some awesome eduFire swag… i.e., at T-Shirt!!)

So, get those code-names rolling!

I was with NaNa tonight, but codenames are super sweet. Therefore, even though I have no clue what its about you should call it Update “FR8” or “Fire Re-wire 2008”.
I think you should call it this because it sounds like a super rad underground government run agency or a robot. =D

You could take a cue from the ubuntu project (with project names such as “gutsy gibbon” and “feisty fawn”)…. maybe “Peppy Polyglot” or “Loquacious Lemur”?

At my company when we do names for projects we take a subject that is similar to what we are working with, such as with our Hand Held Scanners, they look like guns, so as we roll out new code projects we name them after guns. i.e. Beretta, Colt….

So keeping with that idea, I say we use famous teachers / philosophers …. perhaps the first one we can call Socrates
