Every time I try to schedule a session I get the following message “We’re sorry, but the messaging system is unavailable at this time.”

Any suggestions?

That is interesting. Which browser are you using? Also, do you have another browser that you could try?

Im using firefox. I just tried with IE and it still gave me the same message. I’ve been having this problem for about a week now.

Hi Monique,

If I could get a few extra details from you, it might help me to identify where in our system the messaging system is disconnecting:

  1. Which which user are you attempting to request a session?
  2. Are you trying to request an instant session, or schedule one for the future?
  3. Does the teacher from whom you are requesting the session require prepayment?

I am trying to schedule a session for the future and Nao does not require pre-payment. I just realized that I cannot even send regular messages. I can receive messages but I cannot reply or send new ones.

@Marco the message I receive is “We’re sorry, but the messaging system is unavailable at this time.”

@Jon I did not receive your e-mail. Also, I wouldn’t be able to respond to the message because when I hit reply I also get the same error message that I get when I try to sign up for classes.

Oh no my problem is happening again. I’m getting the unavailable message when I try to request a tutoring session or send a message. Thank you Jon for explaining why it happened before but why is it happening again?
