One of my student http://edufire.com/classes/1070-beginners-1b-hindi-conversational-class will be absent for the next class but wants to get the recording of the session to be held on 25th April, thus wants to pay.

Dilemma is she won’t be able to log in 2 hrs. before the class starts to pay for it but wants to ensure that she has access to the recording.

Question: Can she pay now or will there be a link for her to pay later enabling her recording access.

Thanks

Let me check Anshu.

Actually she’ll be able to. A prepay student has an invoice created in advance and this invoice will persist after the class has taken place (since its a prepay class). So she’ll be able to pay for it after the fact and watch the recording.

A piggy back question: does every prepay class have an invoice? I have a student making sure I was paid since she doesn’t remember the Pay button showing up before class.

Thanks Scott.

Wren, I believe the answer is “yes, every pre-pay class has an invoice”. I am sure they will correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks Anshu, that’s what I thought. You can’t get into a pre-pay class without paying right? Hmm…. I’ll wait for a confirmation from the admin. I also wonder what happens to the “persisting” invoice in the case that the student is registered, but didn’t show up for class. How does it “persist” (I’m visualizing an invoice poking at your inbox or floating around annoyingly on your My eduFire page ;)

Hmmm…. For what I know there is a way to get into a class without paying, but the teacher or another person who is host must admit the person in class.
If the PAY button doesn’t appear…. it’s a bug. If eduFire needs a bug finder I would apply! ;)

You can’t take a pre-pay class without paying. That’s, um, kind of the point of pre-pay. :)

And yes, if any of you notice that the pay button isn’t appearing then that’s a bug that we need to look into.

A question on the same topic.

One of my student did not attend a pre-pay session that she was registered for. Now she sees a “Pay now” for the class she planned on missing and missed. Can she just ignore that or do I need to ask edufire to take that message away from her “My edufire” page?

“Weird things”: http://edufire.com/forums/3-talk-with-edufire/topics/3586?page=1#posts-35741 are happening with the Pay Now button’s timing!!

Thanks Marzia san for pointing it out!

The strange thing is that it happened to a lot of people in yesterday’s class. If it were only an isolated case, I would be less worried, but it wasn’t.
Can we trust this system? Why the timing for advices, for buttons to appear, and so on, is often mistaken? The only one that was always working exactly 30 minutes before the class for me was the Join now button, but it seems many people had problems even with that button.
