Hi. I withdrew from a class WEEKS ago. I am still receiving mass messages regarding the class. I contacted the teacher and he said that “it’s an edufire problem so contact them.” so that’s what I’m doing. It’s really quite annoying because this class is going to go on for quite some time and he sends multiple messages a week. Thanks, |

I would reasonably think that the teacher doesn’t know that the first box is for the attendants to the first lesson, and so on. In this case, who wasn’t at the first lesson won’t receive any mail. |

Yep, Marzia speaks the truth! |

Thanks Jessica. Yeah, I think this is a bit of a “bug” in that once you drop a class you shouldn’t receive messages from the class anymore. We will look into it. |

Jessica, Are you receiving generic notifications that the class is coming or are you receiving messages from the teacher as a member of the class? My apologies for this but knowing this will help us pinpoint where they are coming from. Scott |

Yes, and that sometimes teachers (myself included) use the lists of previous students of their classes to send messages. Often if I am offering a new class which previous students may be interested in, I send them all a message to let them know. But agreed, there should be a way to stop all mail from previous classes for those who would prefer not to receive any mail from past classes at all. |

I am receving messages from the teacher as a member of the class. He says stuff like “I can’t make this class.” Or “this is what is gonna happen on so and so.” He just now cancelled the class altogether, or he just sent out a message saying he did. -Jessica |

Scott: I think Marzia has this one nailed. I, as a teacher, am guilty of typing a couple of my message in the wrong box and as a student, receive messages often of the classes I have long dropped. |
