Recently I’ve been trying to upload a document (a PowerPoint, .ppt) but when I click submit, it takes me to an error page that says this… "eduFire Hit a Bump in the Road We’ve recorded the error and will look into it soon!" Is anyone else having this problem? |
Thanks Laura. I’ve filed a bug with the team. |
Thanks Jon, a quick reponse! :) |

Hi Laura, Yes, I’m having the same problem. I’ve tried a couple of times and I get exactly the same error message. Have you had any success uploading yet? |
No success yet. Same error. |
I haven’t had that problem. But, I’ll let you know after my next class anyway. |

Hi Enrique, I think the problem is not actually about uploading documents during lessons or classes within the Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro software. I am able to do this without any issues. Rather, I think the problem occurs when trying to upload articles (in my case PDF) in the content section of the Edufire platform. I think that writing an article within the parameters of the software provided by EduFire may work, but uploading a pre-exisiting document like a PDf or PPT appears to “hit a bump in the road”. |

This should be fixed now. Please let us know if any of you experience problems with this anymore. |

Hey Jon, I hate to say it but I still can’t upload a document. Specifically a .ppt. :\ |
Unfortunately I am still having the same problem as well. It’s in the CONTENT section of the site where tutors can create or upload articles. I am trying to upload some PDF documents, but keep getting the same error. |
I am now having a problem, where on page 1 I fill out the form with the title, description, associated class, etc — then I get to page 2 where I’m prompted for the title and to choose (again) the document to upload. After hitting submit, I am sent to page 2 again, with no confirmation of the document upload. Is there an approval period, or is there a bug in the system? |
Hey guys. Any chance it has been fixed now? We made some changes in the last few hours. |
One of my approximately five tries is available, but it doesn’t appear on either the class I linked it to, or the “most recent” area of the content section. |
Argh. Still a problem, Jon. It just won’t accept my powerpoint. |
I’m still having exactly the same problem. |
How big is the document you are uploading? |
Koichi, One pdf document is 448 KB, another pdf document is 152 KB, and the last pdf is 100 KB. I’ve tried each of them. |
Koichi, Success, I’ve just uploaded one of the pdf’s. I don’t have the faintest idea what the problem was, but it seems to be working now. Thanks so much for your help. |
Yeah, those should upload no problem. Hmm, so it’s gotta be something about the Powerpoint file. Could I get a little more info? a) What did you use to create the powerpoint file? (if Office, which version?) Thanks! |
I’m not sure how big my .ppt was, but a little over a week ago I finally managed to upload it. |
That’s good – I know there have been some fixes that went in over the last week or two, but it sounds like there’s still something going on with it :( We’ll get down to the bottom of it, though! |

I was having the same problem trying to upload a pdf with the ‘hit a bump in the road’ message. Instead of uploading it as a document I tried embedding the ‘scribd’ code of the file I wanted to upload as an article. However it still doesn’t seem to have worked as it still seems to be under the ‘drafts’ tab and not the ‘published’ one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Ideally I’d like to upload it rather than embed it, as I would like it to appear on my profile page. |
Hey Nathan, could you let me know how big the file is? |
Hi Koichi, The size of the file is 116KB. Is this too big of a document to upload, causing the error maybe? |
hmm, that size should be fine. Can you try again? Actually looks like the content section was down for a couple hours yesterday, and you might have caught it right at the wrong time. Let us know if it works / doesn’t work! |
