I agree with Johnny, Mair, Claire, and Holly. I prefer “book” too. It’s common for people who study or use English as a second language. |

I voted for book a lesson too. Good idea. |

I voted too, but if we could survey our students then ,it would be better, we never know what they will think …. ;) |

Well, in a case like this, probably the only thing that could be done is have e-mails automatically send at at least two reminders, one the day before and another one an hour before class that would include a link to let the teacher know if the student won’t be able to attend. |

I also like the idea about the survey. So I would like to second both Susmita and Josués ideas. If we could change the text of the emails Josué spoke of then it would only be better. |

We’ve talked about giving the teacher the ability to write a custom message (written at time of class creation) which will automatically be sent out approx 24 hours before hand. That way it has the personal touch of the teacher, and it’s not an automated message as such. What do you all think of that? |

Koichi, Sounds good. By the way, what about classes that are created not so far in advance? By the ay again. I think this is off topic, but here it goes anyway. The other day it was about 9:30 pm, and I tried to create a class to begin that same night at 11pm, and the system didn’t let me. I couldn’t create anything for the rest of that day….only until the day after. The calendar showed as if we were in the following day already, |

I like it, but it isn’t a “personal touch”, only us tutors can do that and with a large classroom it would be a nightmare. It may be a little more specific to the teacher but it would still be templated or so generic that it has some very awkward wording. But it won’t take the responsibility of good communications away from the teachers. |
