hey, There is a class I recently took that was recorded. i didn’t take as many note as I should have because I assumed I would be able to later on. When I tried to watch the recording it said I don’t have permission to access the recording. How do I get that permission? Andrew |

Hmmm. Interesting. Ironically, the same thing happened to me just now. I wanted to review a recording, but it said I didn’t have permission. Try checking again in a couple of hours (if you are up still). If not, I’m sure someone will have an answer for you by tomorrow. |

Yes, there is some problem, I would also like to add that when I checked with a student I was told that the recording of the free classes is accessible but those of SuperPass classes is not. I am waiting for this problem to be resolved as my students are unable to watch the recordings and I really need to record some classes. |

6 hours and it still isn’t working. Guess it isn’t a temporary thing. Could someone take a look at that? |

I believe this issue has been ticketed with the engineers, and they are working on it. I’ll check right now to make sure. Thanks! |

Actually, can you try deleting your cache and cookies and try it again? There’s a decent chance that should solve the issue. Let me know and if it doesn’t work, please send along the link to the class and person having trouble accessing it. |

I deleted all my browsing data and tried it again. Still didn’t work. If you could take a look at it quickly I would appreciate it. My next class is today and I haven’t had a chance to study at all because of this. Thanks. |

Hi Andrew, we wont be able to tell from the class as the ‘recording’ link only appears on your ‘my eduFire’ page after you have attended a class. We are certainly looking into this though and we are sorry that you have an issue. Can you see other past recordings OK? |
|

The orientation class recording seems to be working just fine. I don’t have any other recordings to test. Thanks for checking it out. |

When you are in your class today, it maybe an idea to ask the teacher if she can view the recording OK. |

Hi Debbie, As I mentioned above, this problem is there for SuperPass classes only, not for free classes. The recordings of the free classes are easily accessible by teachers as well as the students. In my case I may say that I am able to view all the recordings of the Superpass classes but my students are not able to view it. [Just a thought — does it have anything to do with the fact that in SuperPass classes the teacher has to click on ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’ to allow a student from entering the class?] |

It shouldn’t be the case Swarna. In fact, the ‘classroom’ can’t tell the difference between any type of classes, SuperPass or otherwise so what you’ve said is interesting. Certainly do advise your students to write to hello(at)edufire(dot)com |

Yes I know it sounds strange, but as I said it is just a guess. I will definitely contact my students. Thanks Marco. |

I talked to the teacher and she is seeing and hearing the recording perfectly. I guess it is just students with superpass. |

Thanks Andrew for finding out and keeping this issue updated. |
