There is an article I have been trying to upload. (I do have a slightly earlier version saved elsewhere.) At one point, the system appeared to upload the article, even showing me what it looked like with the picture — and then the article seemed to vanish. It did not show up on my profile page. I have successfully uploaded one article, but on two subsequent occasions, I’ve run into glitches.

Hi Karen! Do you still have a problem? Have you tried uploading them from a different browser?

Karen, please feel free to email hello at edufire dot com with details about your system (OS, browser, etc.) and we can look into it. And always save your article locally before attempting to post to eduFire in case something like this happens!

This may or may not be related. I create my slides in Google Docs so I can edit them wherever I am. When I want to upload a doc to the Content section, I need to save the PowerPoint as an OpenOffice Impress doc.

I can upload the doc to Adobe Connect after downloading it with the PPT extension. However, to upload it to the Content section, I can’t upload it after opening it in OpenOffice and resaving it as a PPT. It needs to be in the OpenOffice format.

I am using a Window’s XP machine and use the Google Chrome broswer.

Thank you, everyone, for the information. I know I can email the ‘hello @’ address if there continue to be ‘disappearing article’ difficulties. (Something I tried to publish did show back up on my profile as a draft, but I got an error message when I tried to access it.)
@Alan: I’ll have to study that. Uploading documents is a different application than the article publisher I was referring to, but it’s also a lengthy process; I have so much in Google Docs and Microsoft works forms, and have to save to other forms to upload. I may take a look at Open Office.
