I would like to create a set of flash cards for recognizing different gemstones and their properties. and also one for conscious business.. There isn’t a category that fits the subject matter. help?

I’ll admit that Flashcards isn’t my strong point but I know that we have a few Flashcard gurus here!

I’m afraid the ultimate answer is that the eduFire developers need to make it possible to use more options for Flashcard categories – at the moment only Language, Test Prep and Other are available and the topics within Other are severely limited …. I am sure a review of categories has been on the horizon for a while and I see we have a new Business category for classes but this hasn’t reached Flash Cards. I think patience is the only answer …. unless someone else can come up with a good idea…..

… actually, looking at this a bit more closely, maybe the developers could just have a quick look at the discrepancy between the categories displayed for existing flashcards (where ‘business’ is included but ‘other’ isn’t) and those available for creating flashcards (where ‘business’ has been left out but ‘other’ is included) …. maybe it wouldn’t be too difficult to fix that so at least the existing categories can all be accessed? The whole category thing does need a good sort out though ….
