Ok, sorry to bother.. but.. often times when I post, portions of or all of my text appears within the post 2-3 times.

I have done the following (per the Wizard’s & Debbie’s suggestions) to try to correct this:

1. Copied text into notebook, then copied from notebook back into my post.
2. Copied text into notebook, deleted my post, then copied the text from notebook into a new post.
3. Copied text, deleted post, pasted text into new post.

None of the above has helped. I sort of don’t really mind my stalker.. he’s literally growing on me.. however.. feel for others who have to read, and read my posts.

If you have any suggestions, please advise.

In all seriousness, do you experience the repeating of text on other sites too, or only when you post to EduFire?

Since it’s not happening to everyone else, then the answer is most probably related to the client, and not to the server.

What browser and OS are you using? I could try to replicate it on my end and see what happens.

Also, I’ve noticed others w/ this problem.. just not as often as it happens to me.

OS: Operating System. Since you’re using Internet Explorer, I take that you are using Windows.

If you click on your Help menu on IE, you’ll see a choice that says “About”. What version are you running?

Aaah.. good to know.. um.. version 7.

Thanks… right now I’m using my Mac, so let me fire up my Windows machine with IE 7, and try out some ideas… Will let you know what I find :-)

Tried several different combinations but can’t make my browser produce repeating entries on posts :-(

I guess we need some “higher help”… Perhaps Jarod or Marco can shed some light on this :-)

When they see this… when Brandi said she copied the text into “notebook”, she meant “notepad”… I asked her to do this as notepad doesn’t keep formatting etc.

Debbie gets this too very occasionally and it’s happened in both IE7 and Chrome. It’s definitely client related, but I can’t for the heck of me figure out what or why!

When it had happened to me, I have even deleted my post and re -written it and it still happens. It is quite amusing! lol I cannot figure it.

When this happens, is it the same text repeating in a single message, or the same message appearing multiple times (each with it’s own copy of the user picture, name, post count, etc)?

Same for me too. It rarely happens to me, maybe only half a dozen times in total but Brandi makes a career out if it. lol
