I don’t recall scoring any of my tutors and yet they all have scores. Am I forgetting something? Is that in the end-of-session questionnaire? And also, there should be some sort of point of reference when you are looking at a tutor profile. For example, the number “11” by itself doesn’t mean anything without knowing what the top score is or if there is a top score, etc. Let me know! :) |

Think eBay. If you score a tutor “positive” (7-10) then they get +1, “neutral” (4-6) then their score is unchanged, “negative” (0-3) then they loss a point. This is done on the feedback page after you click “End Session”. |

Good question Liz and equally good explaination Jon. I guess it’s something to keep in mind that they’ll be getting a number when we’re using words. |

It still really doesn’t mean much to me the way it is…maybe because the site is relatively new and many tutors have 0. I think a five star rating average along with “out of x students” would be easier for me. For example, I would consider a 5 star tutor with only 1 student if that student was really impressed with the tutor. But a score with just a number really doesn’t tell me much about the student’s satisfaction without reading all the tutor’s comments. |

I would love constructive feedback from students on things I can improve in my sessions other than just the scoring. I know I got a 4-6 once, so I know I could have done something different. MAybe if we could have anonymous feedback forms students would feel comfortable giving honest and specific feedback? |

Ooh! Do you think that any of my students can give me 4-6 score. He would have to explain this to my elephant and my bear, lol. Just joking! You are so right Tracy. I agree with you ;) |
